With every transport option available – car, coach, train and plane – you can get all the way to the hotel foyer in just a few hours from the major cities of Scandinavia. Below you’ll find everything you need to know about getting here under your own steam, but if you wish, we can naturally arrange your travel door to door so you don’t have to worry about it.
Sälenfjällen is 410 km from Stockholm (Arlanda Airport) and 460 km from Gothenburg (Landvetter Airport).
Sälens own airport!
In 2019 Scandinavian Mountains Airport opened and it is just 20 minutes from Högfjällshotellet, Sälen. You’ll be able to fly to the Scandinavian Mountains – Sweden and Norway’s biggest alpine destinations, Sälenfjällen and Trysil, plus Idre and Engerdal – on scheduled and charter flights operated by national and international airlines.
Högfjällshotellet is just off Route 66. The hotel is around 12 km from the roundabout in the village of Sälen.
