Sälenfjällen is northern Europe’s largest alpine skiing destination, with over 100 ski runs spread across Lindvallen, Högfjället, Tandådalen, Hundfjället, Kläppen and Stöten.

Besides the incredible downhill and cross-country skiing we have to offer, there are also loads of other exciting activities that begin at Sälens Högfjällshotell, such as dog sledding, snowkiting, snowmobiling and more.

A dog sledding tour is a magnificent, unforgettable experience and a classic outing for adventurous souls who want to experience more of Sälen’s breathtaking landscape. We can even offer a child-friendly dog team that lets your little ones ride in their own sledge pulled by real sled dogs!

You can also explore Sälen’s natural wonders up on Högfjället’s peak with the help of a snowkite. Or why not rent one of the snowmobiles parked outside our hotel and set off on your very own snowmobile safari?

We also partner with the Fjälläventyr company to provide special alpine adventures for our guests. With more than 40 years’ experience treating visitors to adventure-filled outdoor experiences, Fjälläventyr can show you Sälenfjällen’s most stunning locations.

We also highly recommend spending a day at Experium, a unique recreation, entertainment and shopping complex at Lindvallen where you can enjoy indoor surfing, adventure pools, bowling and a sauna complex. Experium is just 10 minutes’ ride from Sälens Högfjällshotell using the ski bus Skid & Badbussen.

When it comes to your kids, however, don’t be surprised if the highlight of their week is meeting our mascot Valle (a kid’s best buddy on the slopes!) and following along on his skiing adventures or to the Valle Disco at our hotel.
