Hemfjällsstugan
Just five kilometres from the start of the ski and snowmobile trail at Hemfjället (located 850 metres above sea level) is the waffle house and café Hemfjällsstugan. Visitors to Sälen have been coming here for decades to enjoy the serenity of the location and freshly-made waffles and coffee. You can too!

A “taxi sledge” towed by a snowmobile leaves for the Hemfjällsstugan cabin from the area opposite the hotel Gammelgården (by the Appetito restaurant). The trail is clearly marked and new tracks are cut continually.

Storfjällsgraven
The Storfjällsgraven waffle cabin is located at Storfjället, just 4 kilometres from the hotel Gammelgården. You can get here on cross-country skis or by taking the “taxi sledge” towed by snowmobile that leaves from the area opposite Gammelgården (by the Appetito restaurant). The trip takes just 15 minutes. Enjoy waffles or a mug of hot chocolate in a cosy, rustic environment.

Storfjällsgraven is open every day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., 20 December-30 April.
