Högfjället’s ski runs can help teach your little ones to be pro skiers. These slopes are great for both beginners stemming to make their first turns and kids who want to improve the skills they’ve already learnt. Simply put, Högfjället offers them the challenges they need to become fully-fledged skiers.
You can also encourage your kids’ interest in cross-country skiing on the trails that start beside the hotel. Högis even offers a kids’ area just outside the hotel with a number of surface lifts and “green” runs perfect for small children. Also, the Knattesvängen kids’ adventure area, with amusing figures for kids to slalom around and ski through and a “magic carpet” conveyor belt for the benefit of our tiniest ski enthusiasts!
Most of Högfjället’s ski runs are rated “blue” or “green”, allowing your whole family to start its skiing holiday together on its slopes. Högfjället is extra kid-friendly, since all our slopes end in the valley. This gives you both good opportunities to supervise your kids fully, if needed, and the peace of mind to let them ski the slope on their own once they get a bit older.
If your kids get tired, a hearty lunch or a cup of hot chocolate are never far away at Jack's BBQ Shack. You can also make the short trip back to the hotel for a break in our playroom or your room/apartment, if you prefer.
If your older kids want more challenging skiing, it’s easy to ride the transport lifts from the valley over to Lindvallen. You can also take the Skid & Badbussen ski bus, which leaves from outside the hotel (free for SkiPass holders). Both Lindvallen and Tandådalen offer exciting snow parks for kids who want to perform jumps and trick moves.
